Yachtclub Tomberge e.V.
Yachtclub Tomberge e.V. is a small yacht club in Senden in southern Münsterland, ideally situated on the Dortmund–Ems Canal. The club maintains its own harbour with member berths, sanitary facilities, a slipway, generous parking and spaces for boat trailers. The clubhouse is currently being renovated and forms the heart of sociable club life. New members are welcome; the programme includes joint outings, work days, a summer festival, season opening and a Christmas celebration. With around 30 members, the club atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming along the canal.
History
Yachtclub Tomberge e.V. (YCT) is a registered association based in Senden in southern Münsterland and is entered in the register of associations under VR 6345 at the Coesfeld district court. The club operates its own harbour at Dorfbauerschaft 106 on the Dortmund–Ems Canal and sees itself as a small, well-kept yacht club with currently around 30 members. The heart of the club is the clubhouse, which is being renovated with great commitment and is soon to shine again. The harbour offers berths for members boats, sanitary facilities in a separate building at the harbour entrance, parking and trailer spaces as well as a slipway that can be used by arrangement or with an annual card. Guest berths are available after prior arrangement with the harbour master; harbour rules and guest information are available at the clubhouse. Club life is characterised by ease and cosiness: several times a year there are social events including a summer festival, season opening (Anschippern), joint outings, season closing and a Christmas party. Members contribute ten hours of work per year, individually or on organised work days; a financial alternative is possible. Prospective members can contact the board with a short introduction. The club is represented by the 1st chairman; the harbour master looks after harbour operations and guest berths.
