Västanfors Båtklubb
Västanfors Båtklubb is a boat club in Fagersta, Västmanland, in the Strömsholm Canal region with a harbour on the northern part of the Aspen lakes. About 250 boats of various sizes lie in the harbour; the association promotes interest in boats and outdoor life and represents members' interests. There is a slipway for launching and recovery, guest berths with power and Wi-Fi, and facilities with toilets and showers including an accessible unit. Members and newcomers can apply for berth or trailer membership; joint work days maintain pontoons, fingers and buildings. The pedestrian gate is open daily from 09:00 to 17:30.
History
Västanfors Båtklubb runs the Udden harbour at Båthamnsvägen 10 in Fagersta with around 250 berths for boats of various sizes. Club goals are to promote interest in boats and outdoor life and to safeguard members' interests. When wear on pontoons, fingers and buildings becomes heavy, the club organises work days where as many members as possible should help. In 2026 the gangway between pontoons D and E is to be repaired. The club offers a slipway, guest harbour and motorhome pitches and can be reached via its website and board.
