Trelleborgs BS
Trelleborgs BS is a Swedish sailing and boat club based in Trelleborg on the south coast of Sweden in Skåne. The club was founded on 30 November 1962 and can be reached at the postal address Laxvägen 14 in Gislövs Läge. Its focus includes club racing, Wednesday sailing (Onsdagssegling) and hosting larger regattas such as Trelleborgsregattan and events in the J/24 class. In August 2026 the club hosts the J/24 European Championship at Gislövs Läge and also offers a sailing school as well as courses such as SRC and crane training. The active community combines cruising, youth development and traditional club parties such as spring festival, autumn festival and harbour festival.
History
Trelleborgs BS (Trelleborgs Båt- och Segelsällskap) was founded on 30 November 1962 and is registered under association number 13155-32 and organisation number 802456-2889. The club's postal address is Laxvägen 14, 23192 Trelleborg, in the Gislövs Läge area. For many years the website has documented club sailing results, including Onsdagssegling and spring/autumn Klubbsegling across numerous seasons back to around 2009/2010, as well as KM results. The club regularly organises Trelleborgsregattan and maintains links to regional associations such as Svenska Seglarförbundet and Skånes Seglarförbund. In March 2026 the club announced that in August 2026 the J/24 European Championship will be held at Gislövs Läge off Trelleborg; in parallel there are J/24 Swedish Championship events and crew-pool offers. Besides racing, TBS runs a sailing school (Seglarskola 2026 among other dates from 29 June to 3 July), offers SRC/VHF training and crane training, and organises social events such as spring festival, autumn festival and harbour festival together with Sirmiones Skeppslag. The club's self-description is aimed at those who love the sea and boat life.
