Yacht Club Rouen 76

Yacht Club Rouen 76 is a French sailing club on the Seine at Hénouville near Rouen and runs the Base de plein air d'Hénouville. On a river stretch more than 400 metres wide, the club offers dinghy, keelboat and cruiser training plus club grounds, accommodation and an outdoor leisure base. Children from age 6, juniors and adults find beginner and racing programmes, holiday courses and club as well as regional regattas. Recognised as École Française de Voile, Club Compétition and Sport & Handicap, the club has organised sailing and outdoor sports in Normandy for around 60 years.

History

Yacht Club Rouen 76 (Y.C.Rouen 76 / YCR76) is an association under the French law of 1 July 1901 and celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2026 with jubilee regattas (Coupe de l'anniversaire and Course par équipe). Its base is the Base de plein air d'Hénouville on the Seine (1444 chaussée Bertrand, 76840 Hénouville), offering dinghy and cruiser sailing plus group accommodation. The Seine venue is over 400 metres wide and lies in the Parc Naturel Régional des Boucles de la Seine Normande. The club is listed with the Fédération Française de Voile and holds labels such as École Française de Voile, Voile Loisir, École de sport, Club Compétition and Sport & Handicap. Besides racing and leisure sailing, the base offers kayak, mountain biking, climbing, golf and archery and welcomes school groups. The board (AG 15 March 2024 / CA 22 March 2024) includes President Steve Picard, Honorary President Patrice Madillac, Secretary General Brigitte Simon and Treasurer Thomas Guenneguez; sporting direction involves Director Alexis Aroux and the coaches.

Youth section

Active youth section: Voile jeune (ages 6–12) Wednesdays 14:00–17:00 (outside school holidays), then junior/adult Saturday sessions; holiday courses from age 6; École Française de Voile label.
