Yachtclub Mosel e.V.

Yachtclub Mosel e.V. is a motor yacht club whose home waters are the Moselle around Treis-Karden in Rhineland-Palatinate. The club uses the Treis-Karden marina and has cultivated a modern yet traditional club atmosphere for more than 40 years. The fleet consists mainly of motor yachts; with 60 members the club organises joint trips, season opening and club festivals. At the boathouse in Treis-Karden events include the summer festival and the end-of-season flag ceremony. The office is in Dieblich; the club is linked through the German Motor Yacht Association and informs members about DMYV cruising competitions and star rallies.

History

Yachtclub Mosel e.V. has existed for more than 40 years and has 60 members. Its home waters are the Moselle around Treis-Karden; berths are at the Treis-Karden marina. The fleet consists mainly of motor yachts. The club cultivates a modern yet traditional atmosphere and is linked through the German Motor Yacht Association (DMYV). Club life includes the season-start trip, the summer festival on the festival meadow at the boathouse in Treis-Karden, the end-of-season flag ceremony in the home harbour and the St Nicholas cruise. The annual general meeting is held at the Treis rowing club clubhouse. The office at Breitenweg 36, 56332 Dieblich is run by 1st chairman Günter Kargl.
