Yachtclub Wilder Kaiser
Yachtclub Wilder Kaiser is the only active yacht club in the Kitzbühel district and is based in St. Johann in Tirol. Founded in 2016, the club combines interest in motor yachts, motorboats and sailing with a deliberately high-quality club culture and camaraderie. On its website the YWK presents itself as a young yet tradition-conscious club with a clear line set at the founding meeting at the Stanglwirt. Members and interested visitors find information on history, membership and contact details as well as notes on regional events and partnerships. With currently eleven full members and selected applicants, the club deliberately prioritises quality over quantity.
History
Yachtclub Wilder Kaiser was founded in March 2016 in response to repeated enquiries and a shared interest. The founding meeting took place on 25 March 2016 at the Stanglwirt and adopted a modern, not overly conservative, yet refined club line. The YWK describes itself as the only active yacht club in the Kitzbühel district. Members' interests range from motor yachts and motorboats to sailing; at the centre are lifestyle, appearance and etiquette worthy of a gentleman. As a relatively young club, the YWK emphasises the productive mix of young and old and a fresh spirit in club life. The carefully balanced mix of tradition and modern attributes is meant to be lived by every member. Shared values, an open mindset and lived camaraderie shape the character of the club. The club emblem combines the imperial crown and the edelweiss of the Wilder Kaiser with a silver anchor as a symbol of seafaring and of the bond within the ranks. The association is registered under ZVR number 071189473 and is based at Wieshoferstraße 15 in 6380 St. Johann in Tirol.
