History
The Windsurfing and Sailing Division within TSV Kirchhain e.V. was founded in 1978, initially as an interest group for windsurfing and skiing. In the same year, it was accepted as an independent division for windsurfing and dinghy sailing within TSV Kirchhain. Over time, Niederwaelder Baggersee was developed and used as the home water area; in 1999 the lake area was enlarged by merging it with another smaller gravel lake. Club life then expanded through internal regattas, surf and sailing leisure trips, course formats and regular events for members and guests. To this day, windsurfing and dinghy sailing remain the core profile of the division, complemented by structured youth work, trial formats and continuous maintenance of grounds and buildings.
