History

The history of Surf- und Segelclub Arberg Altmühlsee begins in 1981. The club was founded in September 1981 by water sports enthusiasts from Arberg on the initiative of Franz Hummel. It started with a handful of dedicated water sports athletes. The home of SSCAA is Lake Altmühlsee. The sailors' home offers, with its unique location, an ideal starting point for water sports on the Altmühlsee. Today members may freely use club boats and a catamaran, provided they hold a sailing licence and a competency certificate for the respective boat. The club also maintains windsurfing with an annual introductory weekend and documents club life and events such as Kanapee am See in its photo gallery.
