Sejlklubben Møn
Sejlklubben Møn is the sailing club of the Danish island of Møn and operates a clubhouse as well as a mast crane facility at Sukkerhavnen. Active members receive a club key that opens both the clubhouse and the mast crane. Club life is shaped by the weekly Onsdagssejlads series for keelboats, the Lindholm Rundt event, and Optimist camps. After one year of membership the clubhouse can be hired for private gatherings; guests meet on the covered terrace. Newsletters and a long regatta tradition with results across many seasons make the club an active meeting point for local sailors.
History
The Sejlklubben Møn website has documented club life since at least November 2016. Since then Onsdagssejlads has been the heart of the sporting programme: from the 2018 to 2026 seasons keelboats regularly start on Wednesdays on courses around Lindholm, with fleets ranging from a few boats to nine. Recurring names such as Fair Lady, Carina, Aglaia, Raptus, Chandelle, Taitinger, April II and Tiny dominate the results. In 2019 Carina and Fair Lady finished level on 99 points; in 2021 Fair Lady won ahead of Carina, and in 2023 Allan and Stephan on Carina took the overall title. The club also organises Lindholm Rundt and informs members via newsletter. The clubhouse with key access and mast crane at Sukkerhavnen, plus hire for members and Optimist camps, form the core infrastructure. In 2026 the Onsdagssejlads season opened again with a modest entry; coffee in the clubhouse and racing remain central to club life.
