Segelclub Freistadt Eisenstadt
Segelclub Freistadt Eisenstadt (SCFE) is a sailing club on Lake Neusiedl with its home harbour in Oggau. The club organises its own regattas such as the Rotwein & Kernöl Cup off the Rust bay as well as club events including the season opening sail, summer party and lake round. Members sail among other boats with dinghy cruisers and take part in regional regattas including Roundabout, Preis von Oggau and Gelbkragen Regatta. New members passed the race official examination in 2026 and are active as ÖSV race officers and judges. SCFE maintains an events calendar for events and regattas and offers club accessories.
History
Segelclub Freistadt Eisenstadt (SCFE) is active on Lake Neusiedl and uses Oggau as its home harbour. In the 2026 season, members attended the regatta and rules seminar of LSV Burgenland in Jois; Sophia and Marina passed the race official examination and have since been official ÖSV race officers and judges. On 16 March 2026 the first club boat was reported ready for use; on 15 March the first female sailors of the season were on the water with a 20 m² dinghy cruiser. Manfred Rauchbauer sailed the first seasonal stretch from Oggau on Good Friday, 3 April 2026. On 9 May 2026 the joint season opening sail took place with a trip to the Burgenland Yacht Club. On 27 June 2026 the club hosted the Rotwein & Kernöl Cup off the Rust bay as well as the summer party with a Mulatschak cruise. The SCFE team finished 5th at Preis von Oggau 2026 and 2nd at the Gelbkragen Regatta in Rust. The events calendar also lists the Eisenstadt Speed Challenge, lake round, members' meeting and season closing sail.
