Segelclub Uri
Segelclub Uri is an active sailing club on Lake Uri and Lake Lucerne in central Switzerland, based around Flüelen and Sisikon. Club life centres on on-water events including winter sailing, anchoring practice in Seedorfer Bay, sailing trips to Buochs and Lake Maggiore, and sociable end-of-season gatherings by the shore. Interested sailors can join club activities without obligation; introductory sailing and women's sailing with culinary outings open the door for newcomers and female sailors. A friendship regatta and dinghy sailing add to the sporting programme, while a members-only area and a club noticeboard support exchange among members.
History
Segelclub Uri is active on Lake Uri and Lake Lucerne and uses Flüelen as a central starting point for club trips. Recent news and fixtures document a varied programme: winter sailing on Lake Uri opened the season, followed by practical events such as knot technique and an anchoring outing with theory and drills in Seedorfer Bay. Sailing trips included Buochs with an overnight harbour stay and Lake Maggiore with an evening in Ascona. Beyond sailing there were sociable highlights such as the closing event with food, lottery games and a quiz, as well as formats like canoe and fishing. Media interest was shown when Tele 1 visited the club. Current fixtures include women's sailing with culinary focus in Sisikon, introductory sailing, a friendship regatta, dinghy sailing, full-moon sailing at Flüelen marina, a club outing to the Göschenen power station, plus the annual general meeting and year-end gathering.
