Segelclub Woffelsbach-Rursee e.V.
Segelclub Woffelsbach-Rursee e.V. (SCW-R) is a small, family-oriented sailing club on Lake Rur in the Eifel. The grounds lie on the northern shore of Woffelsbach Bay in Woffelsbach (municipality of Simmerath), about 30 km southeast of Aachen and roughly 75 km southwest of Cologne. Members have berths for 74 boats on three large jetties as well as dry storage for numerous dinghies; ample parking is available on the club grounds. The youth section currently provides eight Optimists for beginner training and three Pirate dinghies for active juniors, also used in racing. The club welcomes newcomers and sailing enthusiasts, organises the season opening race, a club regatta with summer festival and the Dyas summer regatta, and has been a Deutscher Seglerverband member since its founding in 1962 (DSV register no. NW 065).

Segelclub Woffelsbach-Rursee e.V. was founded in 1962 and is a sociable, sports-oriented sailing club with an active club life on Lake Rur in the Eifel. The grounds are on the northern shore of Woffelsbach Bay and offer a wide view of the water. Woffelsbach belongs to the municipality of Simmerath and lies about 30 km southeast of Aachen and roughly 75 km southwest of Cologne. The club aims to enable newcomers to take up sailing and to offer enthusiasts a sociable sporting home. Three large jetties provide berths for 74 boats, plus dry storage for numerous dinghies. The youth section currently has eight Optimists for the youngest sailors and three Pirate dinghies for active juniors, which can also be used for racing. The club is a member of the Deutscher Seglerverband with DSV register number NW 065. The annual programme includes club meetings and work days as well as the season opening race, the club regatta with summer festival and the Dyas summer regatta, which also offers free crane service for visiting Dyas sailors after prior registration.
