History
Segelclub UniversitätsSpital Zürich (SC USZ / SCUSZ) is the sailing club of University Hospital Zurich and an associated club of the USZ Sports and Leisure Club (sfcusz.ch). It welcomes current and former USZ staff, family members and recommended applicants and cultivates an uncomplicated sailing community on Lake Zurich. Club life includes the annual general meeting, the season-opening Ansegeln, a summer festival with a fun regatta, and the season-closing Absegeln. Members can borrow club boats; courses lead to the Swiss inland D-licence. The general terms and conditions are version 10 dated 23 March 2019. From the 2025 season the club has been testing a digital logbook with check-in/out and photo documentation for the boat wardens. For the 2026 season a further J/70 from JBoats named USZyt was purchased; together with JayJay (J/70) and Anima Due (J/80) three club boats are available on Lake Zurich.
