Segel-Club Sorpesee Iserlohn e.V. (SCSI) is a traditional sailing club on Lake Sorpe in Sundern-Langscheid in the Sauerland region. As a regional performance centre it combines grassroots and competitive sailing and hosts ranking regattas on the Sorpesee. Facilities include a clubhouse, a jetty with numerous berths, a crane with slipway and a gear shed for youth boats; classes sailed include Optimist, Europe, ILCA, Finn-Dinghy, Dyas, H-Boot, Varianta, OK-Jolle and J/70. More than 150 members and over 15 children shape club life with training, youth work, racing and voluntary clubhouse and work duties. Founded in 1948 and known among other achievements for the 1976 Olympic gold in the 470 class, SCSI remains an active community on Lake Sorpe.

History
On 26 April 1948 the Segel- und Paddel-Club Sorpesee was founded at Gasthof Bührmann in Lendringsen with 19 founding members; Gustav Edelhoff became first chair and Paul Bärwind his deputy. The name later became Segel-Club Sorpesee Iserlohn (SCSI) upon DSV registration. Early years were spent camping between campsites 3 and 4, initially with home-built boats. In 1958/59 Lake Sorpe was drained for wartime damage repairs and the club temporarily went into exile. In the 1960s single jetties were built; from 1964/65 active racing began in Schwertzugvogel, Kielzugvogel, Flying Dutchman, Korsar, Pirat, O-Jolle and Finn-Dinghy. In 1966 the Finn fleet grew strongly; Günter Burghardt finished 4th at the Finn Worlds in La Baule. In 1969 four Optimists were acquired and youth sailing expanded. In 1971 the first home Finn regatta „Iserlohner Glasenuhr“ was held. In 1972 the club obtained its present site and a new jetty; in 1973 the first clubhouse was inaugurated. The sporting highlight came in 1976 when Frank Hübner and Harro Bode won Olympic gold in the 470 at Kingston, Canada. In the early 1980s a Laser fleet was established; in 1983 a crane and slipway followed, in 1986 a gear shed. In 1997 the grounds were extended lakeside; in 1998 SCSI celebrated its 50th anniversary. After arson damaged the clubhouse in 2006, a new clubhouse in log-cabin style opened in 2007. In 2012 a new jetty with 40 berths was built; from 2014 J/70 training and later Bundesliga ambitions followed, with entry into the 2nd Sailing Bundesliga in 2018. In 2023 SCSI hosted the ILCA IDMa with 66 starters from four nations and celebrated its 75th anniversary; in 2024 a revised constitution was adopted.
