On approximately 11,000 square metres, the club offers boat storage with 100 outdoor and 70 indoor berths, a club centre completed in 2020 with catering, two training rooms and a clubhouse, plus boats for juniors and adults. The youth section with around 120 members sails Optimist, Teeny, Pirat and J/24 classes; adults can use dinghies, the J-24 "Alice" and the Westerly 31 "Santiago". The programme includes youth training, Wednesday sailing, regattas such as the Schlei Weekend, and training for the Sport Boat Licence Sea and Inland. History

Youth training at Segel-Verein Wedel-Schulau e.V. has a long tradition. As early as 1946 there was a youth chairman representing the interests of young members. Nine years later the first youth cutter flew a Schulau burgee on the Elbe. In 1970 the board decided to train children in Optimists and invested in four club boats and the club's future. Since then the youth fleet has grown to around 25 Optimists, nine Teeny dinghies, two RS Fevas, ten Pirats, one youth cruising cutter and one J/24. More than 11,000 square metres of club grounds are managed by the administration committee; around 100 outdoor and 60 indoor storage places are available in winter. The 2,800 square metre hall also houses youth dinghies and motorboats for training. The heart of the club is the centre with catering, two training rooms, board room, office and clubhouse, completed in 2020. The sailing committee organises regattas such as the Schlei Weekend and the cruise competition, meeting monthly on the first Wednesday. Today the youth section comprises around 120 children, teenagers and juniors in nine groups, supported by about 20 volunteer coaches. The events committee shapes club life with commissioning, decommissioning, End of Summer, autumn ball and further events throughout the year.
