Based on Lake Lippe, Segler-Verein Paderborn (SVPB) is a sailing club with more than 50 years of tradition and over 600 members, making it one of the largest sailing clubs in North Rhine-Westphalia. Sailing on Lake Lippe runs from March to November; the club grounds include a clubhouse, pontoons, slipways and lawn berths, plus well-maintained club boats from Optimist and 420er through Conger to Kielzugvogel. Focus areas are regatta sailing, training, youth work and cruising; the club is run voluntarily and funded by member fees. Juniors start in Optimists from age six; from 14 they sail 420er; adults can obtain licences from inland SBF to coastal SKS. The 40th anniversary was celebrated in 2011; Yardstick and Mettwurst regattas and many events shape active club life on the lake.

History
Segler-Verein Paderborn e.V. is based on Lake Lippe and looks back on more than 50 years of club history; the 40th anniversary was celebrated in 2011. Over this time SVPB grew into one of the largest sailing clubs in North Rhine-Westphalia with more than 600 members today. Traditional priorities—training, youth development, competitive sailing and community—have supported growing membership. In the anniversary year 2011 the Kielzugvogel "Vino" joined the fleet. The sailing area is the Sander-Lippe reservoir (Lake Lippe) with about 103 hectares of water; sailing runs from March to November. The club operates extensive grounds with clubhouse, modern pontoons, slipways and lawn berths plus changing rooms, showers and training rooms. Regattas such as Yardstick, Mettwurst, Conger cups and the 420er Padercup shape sporting life; members represent the club at OK dinghy world championships, Star world championships and the DSV cruising competition.

Regatta sailing, training, youth work, cruising, club events such as opening and closing of season, regulars' table and traditional pork-knuckle dinner.
Youth section
Active youth section with Optimist from age six or seven and 420er programme for ages 14 to 19; training from beginner to regatta sailor with dedicated trainers and youth officers.
