The annual programme includes leisure sailing, club and friendship regattas, barbecue and club festivals, and joint maintenance of the club grounds including the jetty. History
The Segler-Vereinigung Singen-Hegau e.V. (SVSH) was founded in 1970 by 24 sailors from the Singen-Hegau region to give residents of this lakeside area easier access to sailing. In what was then the independent municipality of Gundholzen on the Untersee, suitable club grounds could be leased, enabling the creation of a mooring field with 32 berths. Today the mooring field and club grounds between Iznang and Gundholzen belong to the municipality of Gaienhofen. The club maintains friendly relations with the three neighbouring yacht clubs in Gaienhofen. The club offers its members 32 mooring buoys and around six shore berths for dinghies. As the Segler-Vereinigung Singen-Hegau e.V. has no clubhouse of its own, members often hold spontaneous barbecue evenings at the dedicated barbecue area to round off a good day of sailing. In addition to sailing, social events feature prominently in the annual programme, including club and friendship regattas, barbecue and club festivals, family hikes, and joint care and maintenance of the club grounds including the jetty.
