History
Strib Bådeklub looks back on more than 50 years of club history on the Little Belt in Strib near Middelfart. From a growing sailing community it has become a club with more than 150 active members and shareholders today. The sailing school follows Dansk Sejlunion concepts and trains children and adults; adults take the Duelighedsbevis and practise on L23 keelboats, while children and young people learn in Optimist dinghies and on SUP boards. The three club L23 boats are used for the school, evening racing and short weekend and summer trips. Some years ago members renovated an older dinghy and fully electrified it as the dayboat PensioGnisten. The clubhouse has been newly renovated and year-round hosts social events such as Christmas dinners, burgee raising and lectures, as well as bridge and hire to members. A youth section with the Vild med Vand programme in cooperation with local partners strengthens junior sailing. According to the club it is growing and continues to welcome new members.
