Rønne Sejlklub
Rønne Sejlklub is the official sailing club in Rønne on the island of Bornholm, based at the Nørrekås harbour area. The club is a member of Dansk Sejlunion and runs senior, junior and surfer sections. Members use a clubhouse with kitchen, club dinghies, surf and SUP gear, covered mast storage and key-card access. The programme includes Wednesday sailing under Sejl for en sag, junior and youth sailing school, practice, cruise and racing sailing, plus courses in navigation and seamanship. Statutes from 1978 with later revisions emphasise community, youth work and good berths and haul-out facilities on the waters off Rønne.
History
The statutes of Rønne Sejlklub were adopted at the general meeting on 28 November 1978. They fix the club name, its domicile in Rønne in Bornholms Regionskommune, and its purposes: to promote interest in sailing, to hold races, practice and cruise sails, to arrange social gatherings, to offer courses in navigation and seamanship, and to secure good berths and haul-out places for members' craft. The club comprises senior, junior and surfer sections and is affiliated to Dansk Sejlunion and through it to D.I.F. The statutes were revised at general meetings in 1983, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1995, 1998 and 2001, and re-adopted at an extraordinary general meeting on 5 April 2003. Today the club operates clubhouse, mast shed and surf/junior shed with key-card access at Nørrekås in Rønne and runs summer Wednesday sailing Sejl for en sag with sponsors for charitable causes.
