Regatta-Segler Neuruppin e. V. is a competition-focused sailing club on Lake Ruppin in Neuruppin, Brandenburg, based at Regattastraße 17. The club is a member of the German Sailing Federation and offers berths, a new boat hall and training and racing structures for juniors and adults. The focus is on double-handed classes such as Optimist, Cadet, 29er, 470 and J/70; there are also junior and leisure sailors and a weekly Wednesday regatta. The youth section trains on the water in summer and indoors in winter; the club competes in the German Sailing Bundesliga and hosts events such as the Parzival Cup.
History
Regatta-Segler Neuruppin e. V. (RSN) is a race-oriented sailing club on Lake Ruppin and is registered with the Neuruppin district court; the club seat is Neuruppin, represented by first chairman Helmut Rothe. The club is a member of the German Sailing Federation. From the 2021 season, RSN fielded a team in the 2nd German Sailing Bundesliga for the first time and took a pioneering role in Brandenburg; racing is in the one-design J/70 class. In subsequent years the team rose to the 1st Bundesliga and achieved match-day successes, including an overall win at the 4th match day in 2025 on Lake Wannsee. In parallel the club built strong youth pathways: Cadet teams competed at European championships in Torquay and the world championship in Melbourne, 29er crews raced Eurocups and the Europeans in Gdynia, and Optimists and Cadets compete at home events such as the Parzival Cup on Lake Ruppin. In 2025 the club celebrated the topping-out of a new boat hall. With the Sailingteam Riedel/Rothe from the club, the path into the Olympic 470 class is also being pursued.
