Kristiansund Seilforening
Kristiansund Seilforening is the sailing club of Kristiansund on the Nordmøre coast of Norway and has been a gathering place for sailors in the region since 1917. The club combines maritime traditions with modern sailing enjoyment through courses, regattas and community activities. At Innlandet it runs its own dinghy facility with a sailing school, piers and regular training, especially with Optimist dinghies for the youngest members. With the Oldenborg cabin and harbour, the club also has a social and maritime hub by the water that members and guests can use for sailing, recreation and club life.
History
Kristiansund Seilforening has existed since 1917 and is thus a traditional sailing club on the Nordmøre coast. Since its founding, the association has served as a meeting point for sailors in the region and has combined maritime traditions with contemporary sailing. Over time, fixed structures for training and sport developed: a dedicated dinghy facility with sailing school at Innlandet, waterside piers, and a system of fixed race courses with buoys in the harbour basin and adjacent fjords. In parallel, Oldenborg grew into the club’s maritime and social gem – more than a cabin, the heart of club life with harbour facilities, leisure amenities and space for shared sailing. Today the club organises courses, regattas and community activities, supports youth and beginner training, and offers members and guests access to its facilities on the Nordmøre coast.

Facilities
Own dinghy facility and sailing school by the water at Innlandet with piers for dinghies. Oldenborg club cabin with harbour facilities, water and electricity, sheltered bathing beach, shower rooms, gapahuk shelter, barbecue area and a large saltwater pool. Various sailing dinghies may be borrowed; contact the harbour master for guidelines.
Activities
Sailing school and beginner training, regular sessions with Optimist dinghies and smaller boat types, club and race sailing on fixed-mark courses in the harbour basin and nearby fjords including routes such as Frei rundt, Thursday regattas, shared sailing trips in Nordmøre, and social gatherings at Oldenborg and in club groups.
Youth section
Active youth work at the Innlandet sailing school with regular Optimist dinghy training; the youngest members learn manoeuvring and seamanship there.
