Korsør Sejlklub
Korsør Sejlklub is the sailing club at Korsør Lystbådehavn marina on the west coast of Zealand in Denmark, one of the most centrally located harbours in the country near the South Funen Archipelago, the Belt and Smålandsfarvandet. The club is based at the harbour facilities on Sylowsvej and offers a sailing school, speedboat training and regular Wednesday racing just outside the harbour moles. The junior section trains actively and connects via Facebook; boat classes such as H-Boot and OK-Jolle shape club life. Since 1985 the sailing school, certified by Dansk Sejlunion, has trained sailors, and the club maintains its own tradition on the water with the Agersø Rundt distance race.
History
Korsør Sejlklub is firmly based at Korsør Lystbådehavn marina, which as a limited partnership runs the harbour and serves as the club's home. Club history includes the tradition of publishing anniversary booklets for round jubilees; a 90th-anniversary publication is available. Since 1985 the club has run a sailing school certified under Dansk Sejlunion rules, with emphasis on safety and qualified instructors. In addition to practical sailing tuition, speedboat licence courses and the theoretical and practical duelighed examination are offered. The junior section saw strong growth in activity and numbers in 2014. Racing defines the summer: the racing committee uses the waters off the moles, with Wednesday races throughout the season and the traditional Agersø Rundt race, most recently on 13 September 2025. Together with the marina the club runs a Facebook group for members and its own harbour weather station.
