Gråsten Sejlklub
Gråsten Sejlklub is an active sailing club on the Flensburg Fjord in Gråsten, southern Jutland, with its own clubhouse, two pontoons offering 129 berths in total, boat halls, mast cranes and extensive harbour infrastructure. The club offers senior memberships, a junior section with team training and winter instruction, a sailing school, regular Wednesday regattas and a club championship in September. Guest sailors are welcome and the club participates in the Frihavns scheme. Key focuses include youth work, the senior team with social gatherings, and ongoing investments such as climate-proofing the junior pier after flooding incidents.
History
Following the storm surge on 20 October 2023, the board of Gråsten Sejlklub decided to establish emergency plans for both summer and winter periods to better handle similar situations in future. In January 2024 the board held a seminar where the first work on these plans was carried out. There is now a summer emergency plan for 1 April to 15 November and a winter plan for 16 November to 31 March. A major current construction project is climate-proofing the junior pier: flooding with seawater has corroded the earth anchors of the quay structure, so a new quay with retaining wall, new anchoring and a concrete deck is planned. The project is funded among others by LAG funds with EU support, the Sønderborg sports pool and a donation from Bent Rasmussen on his 50th club anniversary. A special club tradition is "Den Gode Hensigt": a piece of a ship built in Copenhagen around 200 years ago and later burned serves as a travelling recognition award for practical voluntary work. The club also publishes the member magazine "Fanglinen" as an internal communication channel.

Clubhouse with two connected function rooms (112 m², seating for approx. 100 guests), kitchen with two cookers, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and coffee machine plus service for 100 people; adjacent shower and toilet facilities; two pontoons A-Bro (63 berths) and B-Bro (66 berths); 700 m² boat hall and approx. 140 m² junior hall; two mast cranes (250 kg and 300 kg); mast storage in hall, mast shed and outdoor rack; three internet hotspots; slipway (bedding); grill and playground area; defibrillator at the covered terrace.

Wednesday regattas during the season (except four weeks summer holiday in July/August), club championship on a Saturday in mid-September, evening regattas for seniors, junior section with team training and winter instruction, sailing school (Sejlerskole), e-Sailing with Virtual Regatta, senior team with regular coffee meetings, shared barbecue evenings and club events in the clubhouse.
