History
According to the club history page, CNML was founded on 9 May 1976 by Monsieur Lucas and originally started as a club of local fishermen. In its early years, Sainte-Catherine harbour had no dedicated facilities, so club development progressed alongside harbour improvements. A key milestone came in 1992 when Marc Jehannin is credited with reactivating the club in a modern leisure-sailing format during the harbour expansion phase. Membership is reported at 28 in 1992, rising to 412 in 2019 and now above 420, while the homepage currently states 424 members and 272 licence holders. Through successive presidencies, the club expanded its regatta, training and social activities and became a firmly established part of maritime community life in Locmiquelic.
