Club Náutico de Águilas
Club Náutico de Águilas is a long-established sailing and watersports club on the Murcian Mediterranean coast in Águilas. Since 1972, the club has promoted sport, education, environmental protection and nautical services 365 days a year with a personal approach. The marina inaugurated in 1982 offers 158 berths for boats from 6 to 12 metres, a fuel station, a slipway and a crane service area. The social headquarters opened in 1991 provides a gym, sauna, jacuzzi, cafeteria, restaurant and administration directly at the harbour. The sailing school (Cod. 30020731) teaches sailing, windsurfing and kayaking, runs youth camps and environmental programmes for schools. Regattas, Blue Flag certification and ISO 9001 quality management underline the club's standards.
History
Club Náutico de Águilas has supported sport, education, environmental protection and nautical services in the Murcia region since 1972. The sports harbour was inaugurated in 1982 and today offers 158 berths for lengths between 6 and 12 metres, a fuel station, a ramp and a dry dock area with crane service. The social headquarters opened in 1991 alongside the marina and includes a basement gym, sauna, jacuzzi and changing rooms, a ground-floor cafeteria, a public restaurant on the first floor, administration on the second, an athletes' residence on the third and a chill-out area on the fourth floor in July and August. The sailing school is a private sports education centre (Cod. 30020731) open year-round for sailing, windsurfing and kayaking courses plus environmental education for schools. The club is a private non-profit association with legal personality operating across the Murcia region. It holds ISO 9001 certification and the Blue Flag. According to its own information, the club has shared its commitment to sport, education and the environment with members, users and especially younger generations for 50 years. Projects such as biomimetic structures to support marine biodiversity and the environmental code of conduct reflect its long-term ecological focus.
