Club Náutico Dehesa de Campoamor

Club Náutico Dehesa de Campoamor is a long-established sailing and marina club on the Costa Blanca in the Mediterranean, founded in the early 1970s. The club offers 351 berths on four pontoons, a dry dock with a 10-tonne crane, 24-hour harbour service, fuel station, workshop and a wide range of leisure facilities right on the beach. Its year-round homologated sailing school runs courses for children and adults and supports a competitive regatta team in Optimist and ILCA classes. The club regularly hosts the Trofeo Dehesa de Campoamor and other regional regattas, holds the Ecomar environmental seal and flies the Blue Flag award.

History

The nautical club was founded in the early 1970s through the initiative of Antonio Tárraga Escribano and Miguel Caballero. From the outset, the aim was to create a meeting place for all lovers of the sea and sailing in the privileged Mediterranean setting of Dehesa de Campoamor and to promote maritime passion among newcomers. Over the decades the club steadily expanded its services for vessels and its social and leisure dimension, becoming a reference point in the area and one of the most versatile and visited places in the region. The club's sailing school is homologated by the Federación de Vela de la Comunidad Valenciana and has repeatedly received the Gallardete Azul award. Each year the club hosts the Trofeo Autonómico Dehesa de Campoamor in the Optimist class as well as ILCA regattas and cruising events such as the Trofeo Repsol, Trofeo Ayto. Orihuela and Trofeo Estrella Levante. Since 2024 the club holds the Ecomar environmental certification and actively promotes marine environmental education and sustainability, complemented by the FEE Blue Flag distinction.
