Club Nautique de Lancieux
Club Nautique de Lancieux is a French watersports club in Lancieux on the Emerald Coast of Brittany, directly opposite the Γle d'Agot and the Ebihens islands. Founded in 1970, the club operates as a school for windsurfing, funboarding, kitesurfing, catamaran sailing, land sailing, sea kayaking and dinghy sailing β everything that moves on water or sand powered by the wind. Since the construction of a modern, spacious facility in 2005 and the management of two accommodation centres since 2014, the club offers professional coaching, environmental education and a wide programme for children, teenagers, adults, schools and groups. At the Lancieux site, members and visitors sail in a sheltered bay with regularly renewed equipment from brands such as Gaastra, Duotone and Hobie Cat, including Optimist, Laser and Hobie Cat 15.
History
Club Nautique de Lancieux was founded in 1970 and grew into a major watersports centre on the Breton coast. A key milestone was the construction of a modern, spacious building in 2005, which allowed the club to expand significantly. Since 2014, the association has also managed two accommodation centres to support school and group stays. The club is run by a team of professionals, a president and a 14-member board. It is strongly committed to teaching and developing watersports and has broadened its missions to include environmental awareness and responsible coastal practice. Its priorities include discovery and progression, living together, eco-citizenship and regional engagement. The club is affiliated with the French sailing, canoe-kayak and land-sailing federations and holds youth-sport and academic inspection approvals in CΓ΄tes d'Armor. With 227 year-round members, weekly courses, school and group programmes and a professional seasonal team, it plays a central role in sport and tourism in Lancieux.
