Bork Bådelaug
Bork Bådelaug (BBL) is the sailing club for leisure sailors with berths at Bork Havn harbour on Ringkøbing Fjord in Denmark. Founded in 1974, the club is a member of Dansk Sejlunion and links sailors with the municipality and neighbouring associations around the harbour. Members use the clubhouse and multi-shed with bath, toilet, lounge and kitchen, plus barbecue areas and club mooring buoys in the fjord. The programme includes Tuesday youth training and sailing school, Wednesday DH handicap racing, and seasonal events such as flag raising, Whitsun, midsummer and the end-of-season Afriggerfest. Distinctive features are the active junior section from age seven, club boats including Optimist and 29er, and close cooperation with Bork Havn Efterskole.
History
Bork Bådelaug was founded in 1974 as a club for leisure sailors with boats at Bork Havn harbour. From the start it acted as a link to the municipality that owns the harbour and to other associations around the port, keeping sailors informed of relevant developments. Over the decades BBL established seasonal traditions: flag raising at season start, gatherings at Whitsun and midsummer, and the Afriggerfest at season end. Committees cover juniors, Wednesday racing, motorboat trips to other fjord harbours, and festivities. Members enjoy clubhouse and multi-shed facilities with sanitary rooms and kitchen; the club belongs to Dansk Sejlunion and actively passes sailing knowledge to the next generation. Recently BBL modernised with new statutes (2025), cooperation with Bork Havn Efterskole, club boats such as Aira 22 and CB66, and a Realdania grant for a planned conservatory meeting place. The board and members are developing a Version 2.0 strategy focused on growth, youth and sustainable activities on Ringkøbing Fjord.

Youth section
Active junior section from age 7 with training every Tuesday at the multi-shed on Ringkøbing Fjord; dinghy classes Optimist, Tera, Feva and 29er; summer camps and monthly winter activities.
