Norsminde Sejlklub
Norsminde Sejlklub is an active sailing club based at Norsminde Havn on the east coast of Jutland, south of Aarhus. The club does not operate its own clubhouse, but meets in the harbour and on the car park in front of Den gamle Handelsplads, and uses the Norsminde Yachtklub clubhouse for some events. Core offerings are the sailing school with practical training on school boats and the weekly Tuesday keelboat regatta. Members range from keen amateurs to experienced sailors who share the joy of sailing and racing. As a member of Dansk Sejlunion the club provides access to about 160 mooring buoys and offers courses on navigation, racing rules and VHF.
History
Norsminde Sejlklub is an active sailing club based at Norsminde Havn, northwest of Fiskehuset and north of Norsminde Kro. The club deliberately operates without its own clubhouse and meets in the harbour and on the car park in front of Den gamle Handelsplads. Central pillars are the sailing school with school boats and the regular Tuesday racing for registered keelboats. According to the safety instructions, binding rules have applied since 1 January 2018 to the school boats Haletudsen, Thyra and Svanen, all based in Norsminde Havn. The sailing school prepares sailors for safe skippering and the practical proficiency test; training takes place between Marselisborg Havn and Hou Havn, not in winds above 10 m/s. Together with Hou Sejlklub, Norsminde organises the Tunø Rundt distance race (Race and Cruiser Cup) around Tunø with start and finish in Hou. The club is a member of Dansk Sejlunion and linked to its interest representation, buoy network and insurance discounts. The privacy policy with CVR 38 33 51 03 and contact via the chair documents the club organisation since at least 2018. Sponsors and fundraising support maintenance and berths for school and club boats; activities are run voluntarily by members.
