Næstved Sejlklub
Næstved Sejlklub is the official sailing club in Næstved on the south coast of Zealand, with an excellent location on the Smålandsfarvandet. The club operates three harbours: Yderhavnen and Inderhavnen in scenic Karrebæksminde, and Kanalhavnen at the start of the man-made canal into Næstved. Visitors find good berths as well as barbecue and leisure facilities; the club has a 20-ton crane and a locked slipway area. Those without their own boat can become active sailors through the sailing school or the dinghy section and learn under instruction on dinghies and keelboats. The programme includes club activities, racing and social events for members, families, visiting sailors and camper guests. Contact details and the club address are available on the official website; the commodore personally welcomes newcomers to club life.
History
Næstved Sejlklub is rooted on the Smålandsfarvandet and organises club life across three of its own harbour sites. Two harbours – Yderhavnen west of the Enø bridge and Inderhavnen after the bridge passage – lie in scenic Karrebæksminde. The third facility, Kanalhavnen, sits at the start of the excavated canal to Næstved and is reached via the marked channel on Karrebæk Fjord. All three harbours offer berths plus barbecue and leisure areas for members and guests. Technically the club has, among other things, its own 20-ton crane and a locked slipway area. Beginners without a boat can join the sailing school or dinghy section; the club provides dinghies and keelboats for training. In July 2026 the new club website went live, improving calendar coordination and email communication with member groups. Regular news and events – such as barbecue evenings with live music in Inderhavnen or a summer grill in Kanalhavnen – shape current club life.
