Motorboot- und Segelclub Hard
The Motorboot- und Segelclub Hard (MSCH) is a water sports club in Hard on Lake Constance in Vorarlberg, Austria, where motorboat enthusiasts and sailors are active together. Since its founding in 1986, the club has consciously cultivated friendly coexistence and seamanship on the lake; the pier consecration was already held as the first club event in the founding year. With currently 131 members from young to old, the association offers an active club life with annual traditional events, celebrations and community activities around the lake. History
In 1986, enthusiastic water sports fans founded the Motorboot- und Segelclub Hard (MSCH). The founding members aimed to create a club where motorboat drivers and sailors cultivate a friendly coexistence. A guiding principle that the club still follows today is friendly togetherness and the preservation of camaraderie. Immediately after the club was founded in 1986, the MSCH held the pier consecration as its first event. In the founding year the club already had 62 members. For 1987 the board launched events that continue annually to this day and are highly valued by members. With a proud membership of 131, the club is represented from young to old. On 7 February 2025 the 39th annual general meeting of MSC Hard took place at the Spannrahmen, with about 75 members attending. In the elections the existing board was confirmed under the direction of honorary president Walter Nagel. The club also organises traditional club festivals and activities such as Ankurbeln, Abkurbeln, summer festival, lake clean-up and prize jass, and takes part in the Harder hour run. For 2025 the club's 40th anniversary celebration is planned.
