Wolsztyński Klub Żeglarski
Wolsztyński Klub Żeglarski (WKŻ Wolsztyn) is a Polish sailing club on Lake Bierzyńskie in Niałek Wielki near Wolsztyn. The club maintains its own harbour (przystań) and runs active racing sections in the Optimist, Europe and Flying Dutchman classes. Juniors and young sailors train regularly, including at sailing camps in Puck, and compete in national and international events. Results in the Europe class and links to the Polish Yachting Association shape the club’s profile, alongside motorboat skipper courses (sternik motorowodny).
History
Wolsztyński Klub Żeglarski (WKŻ Wolsztyn) is Wolsztyn’s sailing club, based on Lake Bierzyńskie in Niałek Wielki. The club website documents current activity in the Optimist, Europe and Flying Dutchman racing sections. The youth programme includes training camps such as the 2026 sailing camp in Puck for Optimist and Europe sailors. The club competed at the Puchar Klas on Lake Jamno and at the Europe Class Open Week 2026 in Gdańsk, where Jeremi Zimny (POL 22) finished fourth in the Open ranking. Club sailor Ania was selected for the Polish national team. The club is linked to the Polish Yachting Association (Polski Związek Żeglarski) and the Polish Europe Class Association and also offers sternik motorowodny motorboat courses.
