Real Club Marítimo de Marbella

History

Real Club Marítimo de Marbella (RCMM) was founded in 1957 and has since been a symbol of nautical tradition in Marbella at the heart of the Costa del Sol. With the mission of promoting sport and maritime culture, the club is characterised by its dedication to excellence and sustainability in every initiative. In a privileged location it offers outstanding access to the Mediterranean and enables year-round sailing and other water sports for enthusiasts and professionals. The club organises regattas, training courses and sporting events and positions itself as a leading reference on the Costa del Sol. At the same time it plays an active community role through educational programmes and inclusive activities that facilitate access to the sea and foster respect for the marine environment. Its mission is to foster a passion for sailing among people of all ages and abilities in a safe, welcoming setting. Values such as integrity, passion for sailing, safety, inclusivity and educational innovation shape the club’s ethos. With EU support under the Andalusia FEDER Operational Programme 2014–2020 (REACT-UE), the club also received aid to offset increased energy costs. Today RCMM combines sporting excellence, a sailing school and lively social life as a fixture of Marbella’s maritime community.
