Real Club Náutico Torrevieja
Real Club Náutico Torrevieja is a traditional Spanish yacht club on the Mediterranean in Torrevieja (Alicante), with harbour facilities on Paseo Vista Alegre. The club offers berths for members and visiting yachts, club rooms and further amenities such as a gym and pool. Its sporting programme covers dinghy and cruiser sailing, rowing, sport fishing and dragon boat. Youth development with Optimist teams, national and international regattas and cultural events shape club life. In 2026 the club, founded in 1966, celebrated its 60th anniversary.
History
Real Club Náutico Torrevieja was founded in 1966 and celebrated its 60th anniversary in July 2026 with a gala honouring founding members and honorary presidents. Since its foundation the club has become a firmly established institution in Torrevieja, combining sport, training, culture and social commitment. Over the decades it has taught generations to sail and fostered values such as effort, respect, community and love of the sea. The club is also a venue for exhibitions, concerts, lectures, literary presentations and charitable initiatives. Sportingly, RCNT is active in dinghy and cruiser sailing, rowing, sport fishing and dragon boat, and hosts national and international events including the Trofeo Euromarina Optimist, Regata Estrella de Levante and the Open Internacional de Pesca a Dúos La Purísima. Honorary presidents include Tomás Lanzarote Llorente, Tomás Martínez Domenech, Manuel Espinosa Maciá and José Antonio Manresa Albero. Today the club is a living institution with harbour operations, quality and environmental management and close ties to the city of Torrevieja.
