Rørvig Sejlklub

Rørvig Sejlklub (RØS) is an active Danish sailing club for dinghy sailors, kayakers and windsurfers on the Isefjord in Rørvig. Founded in 1965, the club has a clubhouse at Rørvig Harbour and offers theoretical and practical training as well as smaller regatta events. With around 400 members spread across approximately 15 teams, the club brings together experienced sailors and beginners through training, shared trips and social activities. The programme includes club dinghies such as Optimist, Laser, Tera and Zest, kayaking, windsurfing, Yngling sailing and regular Stjernesejlads regattas during the summer holidays. The club is a member of Dansk Sejlunion and celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2025.

History

Rørvig Sejlklub (RØS) was founded in 1965 and has had its clubhouse at Rørvig Harbour at Toldbodvej 85 ever since. The club grew into an active sailing community with around 400 members on approximately 15 teams. RØS is a member of Dansk Sejlunion (DS), which is affiliated with Danmarks Idræts-Forbund (DIF). The club unites dinghy sailors, kayakers and windsurfers and emphasises theoretical and practical training, smaller racing events and social activities such as the Wednesday barbecue during the summer holidays. In 2025 the club celebrated its 60th anniversary with a video about club activities. For managing teams, members and activities, the club uses the Holdsport platform with modules for membership administration, payments, team communication and attendance registration. Visitors are welcome to trial training and open events.

Youth section

Active youth section with dinghy sailing from age 9 (200 m swimming required), sailing school for beginners, new teams start every Monday in school holidays, Optimist dinghies available to borrow, club championships in Optimist, Laser and Finn dinghies
