Rønne Sejlklub
Rønne Sejlklub is a sailing club in Rønne on Bornholm, based at Nørrekås harbour. The club is a member of Dansk Sejlunion and affiliated with D.I.F.; it promotes sailing through regattas, practice and cruise sails, and social events. The club is organised into senior, junior and surfer sections covering motor, sailing, surf and SUP. Members have access to club dinghies, surf equipment and SUP boards, a clubhouse with a well-equipped kitchen, and mast and surf sheds opened by key card. Every Wednesday in summer, the "Sejl for en sag" initiative takes place. A junior and youth sailing school is offered for members aged 8 to 17, along with navigation and seamanship courses and good mooring and storage facilities for boats.
History
Rønne Sejlklub is based in Rønne in Bornholms Regionskommune. The statutes were adopted at the general meeting on 28 November 1978 and revised in 1983, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1995, 1998 and 2001; the current version was adopted at the extraordinary general meeting on 5 April 2003. The club burgee is triangular, blue with a white wave line in the centre and a white five-pointed star in the upper corner. The club aims to create interest in sailing, hold regattas, practice and cruise sails, organise social gatherings, arrange navigation and seamanship courses for members, and provide good mooring and storage for vessels. It consists of a senior section, a junior section and a surfer section for both seniors and juniors. As a member of Dansk Sejlunion, the club follows its guidelines on safety, structure and development and is connected to D.I.F. through Dansk Sejlunion. Senior members must be at least 18 years old; junior members may be aged 8 to 17. The board consists of seven senior members elected for two years. Fees and entrance payments are set annually at the general meeting and must be paid in advance by 15 January at the latest.
