History

Stowarzyszenie Turystyczno-Sportowe "Róża Wiatrów" was founded in 2014 by a group of sailing enthusiasts who wanted to promote fair sailing among children and youth. In its founding year the club organised the Blue School Under Sails on Lake Solińskie for pupils from Przemyśl county, SRC courses for offshore sailors and two Baltic voyages. In 2015 it provided sailing education for over 200 children, patent training for Żeglarz Jachtowy and Jachtowy Sternik Morski, two offshore trips and established the I Przemyska Sailing Section. In 2016 it held the third Blue School, four sailing courses on Solina and the Baltic, an ISSA Junior summer camp for 40 participants and the "Sailing Without Barriers" project supported by the PZU Foundation. In 2017 it won the Tesco competition with 22,717 votes, qualified staff for the PolSailing programme at the National Sailing Centre in Gdańsk and completed five offshore voyages totalling 2,780 nautical miles. In 2018 it launched the inclusion project "Disabled on land, fully able on water", signed an agreement with the City of Przemyśl to revitalise the San river marina and won Optimist sails in the Energa Sailing competition. In 2019 it ran the year-round "Everyone Can Sail" project, six Baltic training voyages, placed second in the Tesco competition and received awards from the PGNiG Foundation. From 2020 to 2022 the club continued free water sports programmes despite the pandemic, ran Optimist regatta training, renovated the marina with training and leisure rooms and was recognised as the best sailing training organisation in Przemyśl.
