SSC-Rursee
SSC-Rursee is a sailing club on Lake Rur, situated in a bay beside the dam wall at Schwammenauel, not far from Heimbach. The club grounds offer a jetty for around 100 boats, a slipway rated up to three tonnes, and sufficient member parking. Members are mainly cruising sailors, alongside active junior racing sailors. The youth section competes in the Optimist and Pirate classes and has won the Opti district championship several times. The club celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2022 and currently has about 250 members, with around 100 boats flying the club burgee.

SSC-Rursee celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2022 and was therefore founded around 1962. The club grounds lie in one of the most scenic stretches of Lake Rur, in a bay beside the dam wall at Schwammenauel, not far from Heimbach. Over the decades the club has become a fixture on Lake Rur. Today about 250 members belong to the club, and around 100 boats fly the club burgee. Facilities include a jetty for about 100 boats and a slipway up to three tonnes. The youth section takes part in regattas in the Optimist and Pirate classes and has already won the Opti district championship several times.
