SSBK
SSBK is a modern boat club in the centre of Gävle for boat owners seeking community, proximity to the sea and a well-kept harbour setting. The club describes itself as an active, welcoming båtklubb with a safe marina environment, well-maintained facilities and a strong sense of belonging among members. Around 190 berths are available: 80 on the southern side of the Gavleån and 110 in Stenborgskanalen; the pontoons are within walking distance, about 20 minutes from the central station to Steneborgskanalen and five minutes to the quays on the river. Everyday club life includes jetties, service and motor maintenance; guest berths are not offered, and the club refers visitors to the municipal guest harbour on the Gavleån. Prospective members can submit a berth interest form online.
History
