Silkeborg Sejlklub
Silkeborg Sejlklub is a welcoming sailing club on the Silkeborg lakes in Denmark with its own harbour on Brassø. The club offers berths for keelboats and dinghies, a clubhouse right by the water, and rental boats including H-Boot classes plus a J/70 league team. There is an active Optimist youth section, weekly keelboat training and a sailing school with basic training leading to the Duelighedsbevis. Regattas such as the Wednesday Cup, Tower Trophy and distance races shape the racing programme. Club history includes the purchase of neighbouring land at Kongsholm, growth of the H-Boot fleet and construction of the present clubhouse.
History
The history of Silkeborg Sejlklub can be traced through club development and the memorial for long-serving chairman Frank Nielsen. Frank Nielsen was a member for 48 years and early on led the Optimist section. During his first term as chairman from 1986 to 1994 the club bought neighbouring land at Kongsholm and built a new jetty; in the same period a large H-Boot fleet and annual events grew. After the new clubhouse was built under Poul Fisker, Frank Nielsen returned as chairman in 2002 and served until 2010 – 16 years in total. Ejlert Andersen joined the board in 2005 as secretary and later vice-chairman. Today the club uses a clubhouse on Brassø, runs its own harbour with about 110 to 117 berths and shares jetty cooperation with Ry Bådlaug and Silkeborg Motorbådklub across the lake system.

Youth section
Active Optimist youth section for children from age 7 (the club page also mentions ages 8–15), training Mondays and Wednesdays in the summer season from April to October, free trial of 3–4 sessions, first-year dinghy loan then rental, safety boat support and regatta trips to other clubs.
