Åsgårdstrand Seilforening
Åsgårdstrand Seilforening is the official sailing club in Åsgårdstrand on the Norwegian coast and operates the domains seilforeningen.no and aasgaardstrand-seil.no. The club maintains its own harbour facilities and uses the Mooringo app to manage permanent berths as well as guest use along the coast. Dinghy sailors can take Optimist beginner courses and training for beginners and advanced sailors on Mondays and Thursdays; sailors are expected to be ready to sail at 18:00. Cruising and offshore sailors take part in Tuesday regattas and can use RaceQs for live tracking and analysis. Club life also features boat classes such as J/70 and H-Boot, a regatta calendar, and an active dinghy group communicating via Facebook.
History
Åsgårdstrand Seilforening presents itself on seilforeningen.no as an active Norwegian sailing association with its own harbour management and digital club infrastructure. The club maintains an extensive ICT setup with StyreWeb for the board and committees, Manage2Sail for regatta registration and results, and a link to Min idrett for the membership register. Mooringo is used in the harbour to organise permanent berths and guest use including payments; a weather station and other operational systems are also managed by the board. In cruising, the club documents long voyages by older members, for example to Scotland and along the Swedish coast, as well as Atlantic and Transpac voyages by younger members. Sporting life is shaped by Tuesday regattas with RaceQs tracking, dinghy training, and club albums covering events such as J-70 Kick-Off, H-Boot racing and club championships. The club describes itself as a small association with limited resources that deliberately focuses on simplicity and system stability while using technology to foster enthusiasm for sailing.
