Seglervereinigung Kamp-Lintfort von 1971 e.V. is the oldest sailing club in Kamp-Lintfort and is located on Bendenstraße at Rossenrayer See. On about 30 hectares of water there is a jetty renovated in 2008, a concrete slipway with a motor winch, as well as land berths, trailer and parking spaces. The self-catered clubhouse with terrace is a meeting place for members and visitors. The club offers Optimist dinghies and class boats such as Korsar, ILCA and Finn-Dinghy, plus several regattas and a family-oriented club life. Young people from age 14 and adults can take the inland and coastal pleasure craft licence courses.
History
Seglervereinigung Kamp-Lintfort von 1971 e.V. was founded in 1971 and is, according to the club, the oldest sailing club in the town of Kamp-Lintfort. The club is based at Rossenrayer See on Bendenstraße. The currently sailably water area covers about 30 hectares; after completion of gravel extraction and renaturation works the club hopes for a further 20 hectares. In 2008 the jetty was renovated and provides berths for members. Dinghy sailors have a concrete slipway with a motor winch. The club grounds include land berths, trailer and parking spaces. The self-catered clubhouse with terrace serves as a meeting place for members and visitors and has been modernised. Both ambitious racing sailors and relaxed leisure sailors are welcome under the club roof. Several regattas and a family-oriented club life are central. The club has Optimist dinghies and other class boats and has offered inland and coastal pleasure craft licence training for more than ten years.
