Segelclub Neumarkt am Wallersee

SegelClub Neumarkt am Wallersee (SCNaW) has been a section of Turnverein Neumarkt since 1992 and offers members an affordable way to actively enjoy sailing. The mooring is located in the eastern bay of Lake Wallersee, in the marina, directly at the slipway on the water. The club fleet includes Flying Dutchman, Jeton, Korsar, ILCA 7 and Optimist dinghies; members receive training to prevent accidents and damage, with the goal of the basic certificate for youth and BfA Binnen for adults. Every Saturday from 2:00 p.m., the club meets at the boats – when the weather is suitable, they go sailing, otherwise there is always work to be done on the boats. In addition, children's sailing courses, sailing trips and events such as the summer festival are offered. The club's goal is to make sailing affordable for everyone.

History

SegelClub Neumarkt am Wallersee is a section of Turnverein Neumarkt am Wallersee and has existed since 1992. The explicit club goal is to make affordable sailing available to everyone. The club uses a mooring in the eastern bay of Lake Wallersee, in the marina, directly at the slipway on the water. Over the years, a shared fleet has been built up that members can use, including Flying Dutchman (FD), Jeton, Korsar, Laser and Optimist dinghies. To prevent accidents and damage, the club trains its members; for youth the basic certificate is the training goal, for adults BfA Binnen (formerly A certificate). The club regularly meets on Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. at the boats for sailing or maintenance work. In addition to regular club operations, SCNaW also organises children's sailing courses, sailing trips such as Adriatic tours and social events such as the summer festival at the lake.
