Sportgemeinschaft Seesegeln Freest e.V. is a small, welcoming sailing club in northern Vorpommern on the Greifswalder Bodden, with its club harbour in the Freest fishing harbour (Kröslin OT Freest). The club offers sheltered berths for sailing yachts with a draught of up to 1.80 m, sanitary facilities with showers, electricity and water at the pier, a clubhouse with terrace, grill hut, playground as well as guest WLAN and bicycle hire. From May to September, practice and training sails take place on Mondays at 5 p.m.; the calendar includes the season opening sail, club regattas such as Rund Oie and the Bodden regatta, and cruising. The club is a member of the German Sailing Association, the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Sailing Association and the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Sports Federation and provides marked guest berths.
History
Sportgemeinschaft Seesegeln Freest e.V. is a registered association at the Wolgast district court and has its club address at Dorfstraße 8b in Kröslin OT Freest. The club is a member of the German Sailing Association, the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Sailing Association and the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Sports Federation. On the Greifswalder Bodden the club operates its own sailing harbour in the Freest fishing harbour, which is well sheltered in all winds and offers guest berths, sanitary facilities, electricity and water at the pier as well as a clubhouse, grill hut and playground. Club life includes training sails from May to September and an annual calendar with the season opening sail, club regattas such as the Rund Oie club regatta and the Bodden regatta, cruising, the season closing sail and a Christmas celebration. Permanent berths are currently not available; guests find marked boxes with a green sign.
