Segelclub Stäfa
Segelclub Stäfa is a neutral sailing club on Lake Zurich in the Seegärten area of Stäfa and has fostered sailing since 1967 with facilities and boat berths. The grounds include dry storage, Clubhaus Lattenberg, a lawn, fireplace, slipway, boat racks, a jetty and a mooring field with 25 buoys, plus showers, toilets and changing rooms. A core focus is junior development with over 25 training boats and coaching in Optimist, ILCA, 420 and 29er from spring to autumn, plus race training. As members of Swiss Sailing and the Zurich Sailing Association, they run a full annual programme, club regattas and social events at Lattenberg.
History
Segelclub Stäfa was founded on 18 October 1967; Valentin Hess was the first president. In 1968 the club grounds were built with 26 dry berths, 16 buoys and a ramp; in 1969 the jetty and inauguration of the Seegärten site followed. In 1973 the club joined the Zurich Lake Sailing Association. The clubhouse was built in 1982/83 and inaugurated on 1 October 1983. The 1990s saw strong junior growth: Optimists, 420s and 29ers, early Zurich Lake Cup results and a website in 1999. In 2003 the municipal assembly approved the clubhouse project; groundbreaking and topping-out followed in 2005, and in 2006 the extended clubhouse with renovated jetty and mooring opened. In 2007 membership reached 311, including 271 active members. By 2008 the club had one of the largest junior sections on Lake Zurich with about 70 juniors. In 2011 it hosted its first Swiss championship (470); the 420 Swiss championship followed in 2012. The Zurich Lake Cup was organised in 2013 and 2015. Regula Helbling has been president since 2014. The club celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2017. The chronicle through 2024 covers season openers, dinghy regattas, evening races, ILCA point championships, summer night festivals and the traditional Chlausfahrt, plus national and international member successes including match racing, Swiss Sailing League results and Swiss Sailing presidents from the club.

Activities
Annual programme with New Year aperitif, helpers' dinner, general assembly, grounds clean-up, season opener, dinghy regatta with candidates' aperitif, evening regattas, summer night festival, season closing, autumn trip and Chlausfahrt. Junior sailing and race training. Membership of Swiss Sailing and the Zurich Sailing Association.
Youth section
Active junior development as a main task with over 25 training boats (Optimist, Laser/ILCA, 420, 29er), regular training from spring to autumn, beginner and race training, and access to the Swiss Sailing junior pathway. Training fee CHF 420 plus membership fee CHF 180.
