Segelclub Pfäffikon SZ
Segelclub Pfäffikon SZ (SCPF) is a traditional sailing club at the upper end of Lake Zurich, right on the shore opposite Ufenau Island. Founded in 1963, the club has since 1998 shared Clubhaus Frauenwinkel in the Pfäffikon harbour complex with other associations and uses a seminar room, club lounge, outdoor grill area, storage and changing facilities. The focus is on racing within the Lake Zurich Long-Distance Cup, club events such as the Schindelifahrt and Ufenau Regatta, and regular 7 o'Clock training. Around 100 active and passive members also nurture a friendly community with leisure sails, specialist talks and social gatherings ashore. As a SwissSailing member, the club hosts events against the backdrop of Switzerland's largest island.
History
Segelclub Pfäffikon SCPF was founded in 1963. The first club president was Carl Emil Theiler, who led the club from 1963 to 1982. In the following decades presidents such as Ernst Meier, Christian Hess, Jakob Röschli and Veronica Ettlin shaped its development. Since 1998 the club has shared Clubhaus Frauenwinkel in the Pfäffikon SZ harbour with the lake rescue service, the sport fishing club and the nature and bird protection association. In 2013 the club celebrated its 50th anniversary. Club championships have been held since the 1960s and document the sporting tradition; race presidents from Walter Menti and Hansruedi Henzi through to Küde Signer guided competition. From 2016 to 2023 Markus Rüegg served as president. In March 2024 the general meeting elected three new board members; André Niessner now serves as president, Dominik Noger as vice president, Anna Barbara Binz in the secretariat and Sergio Beti as treasurer. Today the club has around 100 active and passive members and belongs to SwissSailing. Regattas such as the Ascension Day race in the Lake Zurich Long-Distance Cup, the Schindelifahrt and the Ufenau Regatta shape the sporting year alongside 7 o'Clock training and social events on Lake Zurich opposite Ufenau Island.

No own sailing courses for children; the club refers to sailing schools or clubs with a junior section.
