Segel-Club Oberhavel e.V.
Segel-Club Oberhavel e.V. (SCOH) is a traditional sailing club with its home port on Lake Stößensee in the northeasternmost part of the Unterhavel. On the western shore the club sits sheltered in a small bay and offers a family-like club life with around 70 members. New members can, subject to availability, obtain water berths for dinghies and small keelboats as well as land storage for dinghies; sailors without their own boat are also welcome. The programme includes Friday youth training and the annual club regatta with a skippers' briefing. Since its founding in 1902, SCOH has shaped the sailing community on Lake Stößensee as a rather small club with deliberately low membership fees.
History
Segel-Club Oberhavel e.V. (SCOH) was founded in 1902. Its home port is on Lake Stößensee in the northeasternmost part of the Unterhavel; on the western shore the club is located in a small, sheltered bay. With around 70 members, SCOH is a rather small club where club life remains family-like. Membership fees have therefore been kept low. New members can, subject to availability, obtain water berths for dinghies and small keelboats as well as land storage for dinghies; those without their own boat are also welcome. Club life includes shared dates such as work parties and the summer festival as well as the club regatta, where the skippers' briefing traditionally begins at 11:00. The youth section trains on Fridays and is looked after by the youth officer.
