Segelclub Ebensee
Segelclub Ebensee (SCE) is a performance centre of the Upper Austrian sailing association and is located at Trauneck on the southern end of Lake Traunsee in Ebensee. The club offers jetties, cranes, a modern clubhouse with terrace and a youth hut, and sees itself as a base for active sailors and regatta participants. Club-owned Optimists and further youth boats, youth weeks, training and regattas shape the junior programme; advanced sailors can progress on the 470 among other classes such as H-Boat, Finn Dinghy and ILCA. SCE regularly hosts national and international championships and is regarded as one of Austria's most reliably windy sailing venues. Since its founding in 1975, the club has grown from a timber storage site of the federal forests into an established performance centre with extensive infrastructure.
History
Segelclub Ebensee (SCE) was founded in 1975 by a handful of Ebensee enthusiasts passionate about sailing. The site was a timber yard of the Austrian Federal Forests at Trauneck on the southern shore of Lake Traunsee. The first president was then mayor Hermann Reiter; together with first chairman Mansuet Loidl and other founding members the grounds were developed step by step. At first a usable club site was created largely by handwork and municipal works support, without major capital. After assembling a crane from Solvay works stock and converting a steel vessel into a committee boat, racing could begin. Early events were yardstick races with members and neighbouring clubs; the reliably windy venue quickly proved ideal for competition. Local champion and multiple Shark world champion Ernst (Flossi) Felsecker played a special role; he and current president Franz Lackerbauer are honorary members. In 1976 the first clubhouse, jetties and crane 1 were built. Stegs 1 and 2 were extended in 1987, the shoreline reinforced in 1991, and the youth hut added in 1994. In 1996/97 under Franz Lackerbauer the modern clubhouse was rebuilt as a performance centre, funded by grants, member loans and regatta income. Later milestones included new jetty anchors and committee boat 2 (2000), crane 2 (2002), youth hut expansion and youth boats (2005), jetty and shoreline renovations (2006–2012), kitchen and sanitary upgrades (2015), and enlarging and fully glazing the terrace (2021/2022). The club has hosted major events including H-Boat world championships, Shark24 and Soling events, Topcat and Topper world titles and repeated Kite Foil World Series; since 2004 the annual Traunsee Week with Austrian national championships has been held. Presidents have included Hermann Reiter (1975–1985), Rudolf Graf (1985–1988), Mansuet Loidl (1988–2005) and since 2005 Mag. Franz Lackerbauer; chairmen have included Mansuet Loidl, Franz Lackerbauer, Manfred Renz, Ernst Felsecker, Johann Bertl, Gottlieb Pesendorfer, Peter Dauser and since 2023 Hermann Watzinger.

Youth section
