Más Navega
Más Navega is a sports sailing club based at Port Olímpic in Barcelona, welcoming beginners as well as experienced skippers. The club runs its own fleet from light training boats to race cruisers and combines tuition, community sailing and competition. Members take staged navigation courses, spinnaker training, engine manoeuvres, shared forfait chartering and private charter, plus coastal and offshore regattas in the Mediterranean. Since its founding in 2019 by Xavier Mas and Pep Navarro, a flexible membership model with a monthly fee, virtual wallet credit and no lock-in period has been central.
History
Más Navega grew from the sailing passion and shared ideas of Xavier Mas and Pep Navarro. What began as outings among friends and regattas on the Catalan coast became in 2019 an open sailing club for everyone who feels the sea as they do. Xavier Mas has sailed since the age of ten, started on an Optimist and from 1999 organised cruising trips, Catalan coastal regattas and passages to the Balearic Islands; in 2019 this became Más Navega Club de Navegación. Pep Navarro has sailed more than 51,000 nautical miles, including seven Atlantic crossings in race, and in Barcelona focuses on sailing instruction, which he has practised since age sixteen as a light-sailing coach. Over time the team, fleet and training programme grew; today tuition, the forfait system, charter and offshore regattas bind the club community at Port Olímpic.
