Oddział Żeglarsko-Motorowodny PTTK "MORKA" w Płocku
Oddział Żeglarsko-Motorowodny PTTK "MORKA" in Płock is the official sailing and motorboating branch of PTTK on the Vistula. The club is based at ul. Rybaki 10 and operates harbour facilities with pontoons as well as an online webcam. The programme features traditional regattas such as Regaty o Puchar Wrzosu and Memoriał Rakowskich, plus courses for the Patent Żeglarza Jachtowego. The gallery documents among other events the 29er Euro Cup 2009 and the club's 50th anniversary. For sailors and motorboaters in the Płock region, MORKA is an active club hub with an events calendar and training.
History
Oddział Żeglarsko-Motorowodny PTTK "MORKA" in Płock is the sailing and motorboating branch of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society PTTK in Płock on the Vistula. Club history is documented on the website through the gallery "Historia, czyli jak to dawniej było..." and through celebrations of Morka's 50th anniversary, with official and internal jubilee events. People thanks to whom Morka was founded, operates and develops include Andrzej Kozarski, Wiesław Lorens, Wiesław Łagiewski, Krzysztof Łukasiak, Wiesław Morawski, Piotr Sabat, Bogumił Trębala, Waldemar Trojanowski, Wiesław Wieczorek and Adam Żółtowski; as "Ludzie 50-lecia" Kozarski, Lorens, Morawski, Trojanowski and Żółtowski are especially highlighted. Sportingly the club is marked by hosting the 29er Euro Cup 2009 and by the long-running Regaty o Puchar Wrzosu series and Memoriał Rakowskich. In 2017 the branch offered a Patent Żeglarza Jachtowego course with theory, practice and state exam dates. To this day MORKA maintains harbour operations at ul. Rybaki 10, an online camera and an annual events calendar including pontoon and boat launching, a sailing parade and regattas.
